Monta Ellise Headed to Dallas…. not that anybody cares at this point.

Monta Ellis promises to score at least 20 points per game this year, not matter how many shots he has to take to do it.

The Dallas Mavericks, who are hoping to be at least as good as the Bucks were last season (which is actually not as good as the Mavericks were last season), are looking to pilfer two of the Bucks’ players (neither of which the Bucks want and one of whom the Bucks wouldn’t even give minutes too): Monta Ellis and Samuel Dalembert.  After their first and second options for free agency this season, Dwight Howard and Chris Paul, signed elsewhere, the Mavericks then saw Josh Smith opt for a lottery team, while Andrew Bynum and Kevin Martin did the same.  Then J.J. Hickson, Chris Kaman, Al Jefferson, Paul Milsap, J.R. Smith, Tyreke Evans, and pretty much EVERY OTHER PLAYER ON THE PLANET opted to NOT play for Dallas because, well, nobody wants to fucking play for Dallas.  Now, Monta Ellis, who pretty much no other team was willing to pay, has agreed to terms with the Dallas Mavericks.  It’s kind of like when the guy who is cheated on by his girlfriend tries sleeping with the girlfriend of the guy she cheated with.  They both know nobody else wants them, but hey, they have to fill a roster spot, er, have sex with somebody.  If Dalembert does sign with Dallas as well, he will likely be hoping to get more than the 16 minutes per game the Bucks let him have… and Dallas will… wait… they are going to be starting a guy who a sub-500 team wouldn’t even give 2o minutes a game to?  I’m just going to do Dallas fans a favour and stop writing now before they get too depressed about the prospects of next season.  And sorry if you are reading this Dirk, but on the bright side the Dirk trade rumours should be starting in 5… 4… 3… 2..
