Line of the Night: November 9th

DeMarcus Cousins had another big night (33 points, 12 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block), but it was not enough as the Kings dropped another game, this time to the Trailblazers.  LaMarcus Aldridge netted 22 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal in the win.  O.J. Mayo scored a game-high 28 points against his former team, but the Bucks lost to the Mavs who also has a shooting guard that was playing against his former team in Monta Ellis.  Memphis improved to .500 after a solid night from Zach Randolph (23 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal).   The Clippers bounced back after a loss to the Heat and got a big rebounding night from DeAndre Jordan (18 boards) and they beat the Houston Rockets.  Boston is now on a 3-game winning streak after starting the season 0-4 after they beat the Miami Heat by the narrowest of margins.  The Cavaliers and 7ers both got double-doubles from three players as they duked it out in a double-overtime thriller that saw the Cavs give the home court something to smile about on the way out.  Kyrie Irving scored an evening-high 39 points.  The Jazz remained winless as they dropped a game against the Raptors.  Atlanta reached .500 with a win over the Magic thanks in part to a great night from Paul Millsap.  And in the main event, the Pacers extended their best start since coming to the NBA with a win over the Brooklyn Nets.

Paul Millsap has been putting up great numbers for the Hawks.

Line of the Night goes to Kyrie Irving.  His numbers may have been a little high due to the extra minutes he for in overtime, but the fact that he played 43 minutes and only handed out 3 turnovers is impressive.  I feel compelled to mention that Millsap’s defensive stats deserve some love, while DeMarcus Cousins has been putting up some amazing numbers, even if they are during loses.
