Carmelo Anthony (28 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, 1 block) led the Knicks past the Bobcats, while Andrea Bargnani post his best game of the season (though the bar was set pretty low).  Luol Deng had a stellar game (19 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists, 5 steals) as the Bulls put down the Utah Jazz.  Kevin Durant scored an evening-high 37 points to go along with 8 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals and 1 block to lead the Thunder past the Pistons.  The Pistons are now one game below .500 despite a big night from Greg Monroe (20 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks).  Rudy Gay had his best game of the season (30 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, 3 blocks), but it was not enough as the Raptors fell to the Pacers who remain unbeaten.  Paul George got 23 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals.  Kevin Love had another MVP night (32 points, 15 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 block) as he and the T-Wolves downed the Dallas Mavericks.  Anthony Davis scored 32 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, handed out 3 assists and got 1 steal and 6 blocks as the Pelicans beat the Lakers who are still without Kobe Bryant.  Demarcus Cousins posted a 35 points to go along with 9 rebounds, 1 assists, 4 steals and 1 block, but the Kings fell to the Trailblazers.  Lillard posted 22 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 1 steal.   In other action, Boston beat the Orlando Magic, the Cavaliers fell to the 76ers, Denver dropped a game to Phoenix, Washington beat Brooklyn in overtime and the Spurs beat the Warriors in a tightly contested match.

After an injury plagued season last year, Kevin Love has bounced back, posting MVP numbers every game.

Despite a near triple-double with 5 steals and an astronomical shooting percentage, I’m not going to be giving Line of the Night to Luol Deng (though there is certainly a case for him).  For me it came down to Kevin and Kevin (Love and Durant).  Durant posted more points and had better defensive states, but Love got the edge with assists and had far more rebounds.  Both players were lights out from the floor, but I’ll give a slight edge to Kevin Love.  One less foul and one less turnover, coupled with one more assist and 7 more rebounds?  I may weight rebounds heavily, but I always love a strong stud on the glass.  This one could go either way.
