Line of the Night: November 22nd

Caron Butler led all scored with 38 points!

Michael Carter-Williams had another stellar game, flirting with a triple-double as the 76ers defeated the Bucks in overtime. Caron Butler scored an evening-high 38 points.  John Wall posted 37 points on nearly 75% from the floor, but it was not enough as the Wizards fell to the Toronto Raptors.  Lance Stephenson posted his second, career triple-double as the Pacers improved the best record in the league with a win over the Celtics.  Brandon Jennings shot 25% from the floor, but still insisted on shooting as many shots as Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond combined.  Drummond and Monroe, who together equaled 16 shots, made 6 more field goals than their new teammate with the same number of shots.  Drummond took less than half the shots that Jennings took and made 2 more field goals!    He also recorded his 7th straight double-double.  David Lee and Andrew Bogut both recorded

double-double, but the Warriors still fell to the Lakers.  Pau Gasol posted a 20/10 in the win.  The Spurs kept even with the Pacers with a win over the Grizzlies.  Mike Conley posted a game-high 28 points. The Nets may require another player-only meeting after they were blown out by 30 points in a loss to the T-Wolves.  Rick Adleman brought the bench out early to bury the bodies.  In other games, the Pelicans got double-double and some nice defensive stats from Jrue Holiday and Anthony Davis as they defeated the Cavaliers; Phoenix earned a win over the Bobcats; and Samuel Dalembert posted a double-double for the Mavs who handed the Jazz another loss.  The biggest news of the night was the double-dose of bad news the Bulls received.  Not only did they lose to the Trailblazers, but Derrick Rose left the game early with a knee injury (not that knee, the other one).  Wesley Matthews posted a game-high 28 points.

Spencer Hawes is having a career year.

My pick for Line of the Night goes to Caron Butler.  38 points is impressive, especially on only 22 shots.  His defensive stats were solid and he has a nice night on the glass.  Drummond was great with limited shots (6-7 from the field), and Stephenson’s 3D game was amazing, but his point totally was a meager 10 points.
