Line of the Night: November 21st

Kevin Durant led all scorers with 28 points last night.

Kevin Durant led all scorers with 28 points last night.

It was a slow night in the NBA last night.  The Bulls visited the Nuggets.  Joakim Noah flirted with a tripled-double, but nobody to break the 20-point mark in this game.  Rose posted a game-high 19 points, but the Nuggets came away with a win. In the main event, the Clippers faced off the Thunder and provided fans with a preview of what may end up being a potential series in this year’s playoffs.  Chris Paul continued his streak of 12, consecutive games with double figures in points and assists, and Blake Griffin posted another 20/10 game, but it was not enough as the Clippers fell to the Thunder: 105-91.  Kevin Durant led all scorers with 28 points.

Blake Griffin has been posting the best numbers of his career this season.

My pick for Line of the Night goes to Kevin Durant.  Next to Blake Griffin, Durant had a slightly high FG%, more points (especially impressive since Durant posted 5 shots from beyond the arc while Griffin took no such shots), an extra assist, and his team won.  It could really go either way, but Durant’s ability to draw fouls helps as well.  Durant scored more points on fewer shots, earned a victory, and so, the slight edge goes to Durant in this instance.
