Dwight Howard scored 33 points on 16 shots and pulled in 11 boards, but it was not enough for the Rockets to overcome their fellow Texans from Dallas as Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis combined for 72 points!   The Detroit Pistons fell to the Atlanta Hawks.  Andre Drummond had his sixth straight double-double, and Brandon Jennings, feeling better than he did the previous game, was able to stay out on the floor longer and lead the team in field-goals attempted and lead the team to another loss.  In the games where Brandon Jennings has not played or has not shot more than 14 shots, the Piston have not lost in regulation and are 4-1 with an overtime loss.  With Jennings leading the team in shots taken by more than one field goal, the team is 0-6.  I think it is time to bring Jennings off the bench.  Brooklyn can’t seem to win a game as they dropped another one, this

time to the Bobcats.  Kemba Walker scored a game-high 31 points.  Washington won back-to-back games with an All-Star performance from Bradly Beal giving them an edge over the Cavaliers.  Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph combined for almost 40 points and over 20 rebounds as the Grizzlies defeated the Warriors.  Stephen Curry missed the game.  Portland maintained the second best record in the west with a win over the Bucks.  The T-Wolves have dropped two in a row as they fell to the Clippers.  Kevin Love did not shoot the ball well, but was 2 assists shy of a triple-double, while Kevin Martin, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin both posted 20/10 games.  Utah fell to the Pelicans.  The Pacers protected the best record in the league in an overtime with against the Knicks.  Paul George scored a game-high 35 points and Carmelo Anthony looked like Dennis Rodman on the glass, grabbing 18 boards.  Miami trampled all over their fellow Floridians: 120-92.  Eric Spolstra brought the bench out early to mop up the mess.  Toronto improved to 5-7 as they defeated their division rivals from Philly.  DeMar DeRozen posted a game-high 33 points.  Sac-town eclipsed the Suns: 113-106.  Goran Dragic posted a game-high 31 points.  And, finally, the Spurs kept even with the best record in the league by posting a win over the Boston Celtics.  Jared Sullinger posted 19 points and 17 rebounds.

My pick for Line of the night goes to Paul George. Part of me wanted to award it to Melo for his huge night on the glass, but the 18 missed field goals put a damper on his 30-point performance, and his defensive stats paled next to George’s.  Likewise, Monta Ellis had a great night, but his defensive states didn’t touch George’s.  Anthony Davis also had a great line: 22 points, 9 rebounds, 8 blocks and 4 assists.
