Line of the Night: November 12

Defensive specialist Jordan Hill was the only player to post a 20/10 game last night.

Trevor Ariza had a big night, but it was not enough as the Dallas Mevericks downed the Washington Gandolfs Wizards: 105-95.  John Wall (14 points, 10 assists) and Marcin Gortat (12 points, 12 rebounds, 4 blocks) both picked up double-doubles.  Andre Drummond posted another double-double (16 points, 14 rebounds), but Brandon “I love to shoot the ball” Jennings was 5-14 from the field and the Pistons fell to the Warriors: 113-95.  Stephen Curry scored a game-high 25 points.  Jordan Hill gave the Lakers a 20/10 game, helping to lift the Lakers over the Pelicans: 116-95.  And the Miami Heat earned a win over the Bucks last night: 118-95.  LeBron James scored an evening-high 33 points.

Trevor Ariza posted a game-high 27 points last night.

My pick for Line of the Night goes to Jordan Hill.  None of the performances were stellar.  James posted 33 points, but his other numbers were paltry (not common for a player with an all-around game as strong a James’), while none of the other 20+ points scorers managed a double-double.  And Hill had decent defensive stats too.  Odd fact of the night: Every losing team scored 95 points?
