Line of the Night: December 6th

Kyle Korver set the record for most consecutive games with a 3pt FG made last night.

The Bucks and Wizards went into overtime with the visiting Bucks managing to get a win.  John Wall posted a game-high 30 points, while John Henson pulled in a game-high 17 rebounds.  The Lakers beat the Kings despite a solid 20/10 game from DeMarcus Cousins.  Utah got embarrassed by the Portland Trailbalzers in a 32-point blowout.  Rudy Gay and Jonas Valanciunas posted double-doubles for the Raptors and Amir Johnson came off the bench to score 22 points, but it was not enough to beat the Suns who got a big game from Markieff Morris off the bench.  The Knicks managed to string together two wins behind a solid all-around game from Carmelo Anthony.  The Pelicans continued to struggle without Anthony Davis as they fell to the Thunder.

James Harden posted an evening-high 34 points and Dwight Howard was 2 rebounds shy of a 20/20 game as the Rockets rolled past the Warriors.  The Charlotte Bobcats took advantage of the absence of Michael Carter-Williams as they defeated the 76ers.  The Boston Celtics earned a win over the Denver Nuggets, and the Atlanta Hawks earned a win over the Cavaliers despite a 20/10 game from Andrew Bynum and Dion Waiters pouring in 30 points off the bench.  Kyrie Irving scored 0 points?  Kyle Korver did make a 3 point shot and so now holds the record for most consecutive games with a three point field goal made.

John Henson had a career night against the Wizards.

John Henson had a career night against the Wizards.

This is a hard one to call.  John Wall’s night was amazing, but his FG% was a little low.  John Henson was stellar, but his defensive stats weren’t as impressive as Dwight Howard’s, though his .800 from the floor was amazing.  Harden led all scorers, but his all-around game wasn’t as impressive as Durant’s.  And it was nice to see Bynum post another 20/10 game given his health problems.  Hopefully this is an indication that he is back to full health.  All those numbers aside, NBA history is not made every night.  Kyle Korver certainly did not have the most impressive game of the evening, but he did set a new NBA record for most consecutive game with a 3-point field goal made, so for that rare accomplishment, I think Korver is deserving of Line of the Night.
