Line of the Night: December 4th

What to the Pistons look like when Andre Drummond shoot .500 from the line? Winner.  The Pistons pulled to within one game of .500 as they handed the Bucks a loss behind a huge night from Andre Drummond who posted 24 points and 19 rebounds.  Brandon Jennings shot .250 from the floor and took way too many shots, but at least he didn’t take more than 20 shots.  The Bucks got a 20/10 game from Ersan Ilyasova off the bench.  Cleveland got a big night out of Tristan Thompson as they handed the Denver Nuggets a loss and Anderson Varejao posted a double-double off the bench on 7/9 shooting.  The Clippers fell to the Hawks despite an excellent passing night from Chris Paul who handed out 11 assists and only 1 turnover.  The Hawks saw threelma2 starters (Paul Millsap, Al Horford and Kyle Korver) break 20 points.  Krover has not tied the record for most consecutive games with a 3-point FG made.  The Suns’ starting line grabbed a total of 12 steals as they surprised the Rockets.  Dwight Howard was a beast on the glass (18 boards), but was a merge 4/11 from the field.  The Mavericks beat the Pelicans.  Dirk Nowitzki had a solid all-around game while the Pelicans got 21 rebounds from Al-Farouq Aminu.  Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors both posted 20/10 games, but it was not enough to beat the Pacers as the Jazz lost at home.  The Portland Trailblazers made a statement for those who thought their record was a matter of favourable scheduling.  After beating the team with the best record in the league a couple of nights ago, the Blazers hosted Kevin Durant and the OKC Thunder, and handed them a loss.  Kevin Durant scored a team-high 33 points, but LaMarcus Aldridge posted an evening-high 38 points to lead the Blazers to the in.  The T-Wolves and Spurs were supposed to face-off in Mexico, but the game was postponed.

Tristan Thompson pulled in 21 rebounds last night.

Hard choice for Line of the Night.  I love seeing Triston Thompson developing into a guy that can post a 20/20 night, and I’m happy to see Drummond had a decent night from the line to have a monster game and pull the Pistons to within one game of .500, not to mention his defensive stats.  That said, I think I have to go with LaMarcus Aldridge tonight.  Almost 40 points against division rivals and double digit rebounding to go along with 5 assists?  That is pretty impressive.
