Carmelo Anthony posted a game-high 35 points and the Knicks earned a much-needed win over the Hawks.  LeBron James and the Miami Heat hosted the Cavs and handed them a loss behind a near triple-double from James.  Chris Paul provided some tutelage to emerging star John Wall, scoring an evening-high 38 points on 14 shots as the Clippers bested the Wizards. Kobe played his best game since his return and as a result the Lakers won their first game since he came back to the line-up, but given his assist-to-turnover ratio, ‘Antoni would likely be better off letting Steve Blake handle the distribution duties when he returns to the line-up.  The Raptors put away the Bulls to win back-to-back games for only the second time this season and have won 3 of their last 4 games; they best stretch of the season.  Mundane games were had by all. The Spurs downed the Jazz and Greg Popovich brought the bench out early… again.  LaMarcus Aldridge posted another MVP caliber night as the Trailblazers had a franchise high for 3-pointers and embarrassed the 76ers: 139-105.

LaMarcus Aldridge had another huge night, leading the Trailbalzers to another win.

James’s performance was top notch, and Aldridge’s game was amazing, but given that Paul led all played in both scoring and assists, it’s hard to go with anybody but Paul, who continues to post MVP numbers in what may be his finest season yet.
