Line of the Night: December 10th

Kyrie Iriving led all scorers with 37 points last night.

Kyrie Iriving led all scorers with 37 points last night by pulling moves like this.

Kevin Love flirted with a triple-double as he led the T-Wolves past the Pistons, scoring 26 points, grabbing 16 rebounds and handing out 7 assists.  Deron Williams returned to the line-up for the Nets and led them to a win over the Boston Celtics.  Brook Lopez was 10/13 on the night, though he only grabbed 3 paltry rebounds.  The Thunder trumped the Hawks as Kevin Durant post another 30/10 game.  Russell Westbrook was a rebounds shy of a triple-double.  The Raptors were a little short given the recent trade that sent Rudy Gay to Sacramento and fell to the visiting Spurs.  Popovich cleared the bench early to put the game away.  The Indiana Pacers got the best of the Miami Heat last night as they hosted the defending champs.  Carmelo Anthony had a big game, scoring a team-high 29 points, but it was not enough to offset the 37-point performance offered by Kyrie Irving.  The Bucks held of the Bulls behind another big night from John Henson, both on the glass and on defense. Point guard Brandon Knight even got in on the rebounding action with 10 boards.  And, finally, the Phoenix Suns, led by a 31-point performance from Goran Dragic, handed the Lakers a loss, leaving then winless with Kobe Bryant in the line-up.

John Henson earned Line of the Night with some amazing defensive stats.

John Henson earned Line of the Night with some amazing defensive stats.

I’m tempted to give Line of the Night to Kevin Durant, Kevin Love, or Kyrie Irving, given their amazing performances, but John Henson’s percentage was high, he was a beast on the boards, and, what is most impressive, is his defensive stats: 6  blocks and 3 steals.  The sophomore is really developing into a solid rebounder and defender, and it he keeps stringing together games like these, the Bucks may find that with a healthy Ersan Ilyasova and Larry Sanders, that they have one of the best front court rotations in the league.
