Derrick Favors had a career night, scoring a game-high 28 points and bring down 10 boards, but the Spurs handily defeated the Jazz, bringing their bench in early as they cruised to a victory.  The Dallas Mavericks earned an impressive road win, beating the Oklahoma Thunder despite a game-high 30 points from Kevin Durant.  DeMarcus Cousins was having knees issues and sat out a game against the Timberwolves.  Isaiah Thomas scored a team-high 27 points and Derrick Williams posted a 20/10 game, but it was not enough to top the Timberwolves, who got a game-high 31 points from Kevin Martin.  The Boston Celtics visited the Big Easy and forced an overtime period, but were unable to capitalize as Anthony Davis posted a career-high 40 points and grabbed 21 boards to lead all players in both categories to lead the Pelicans to the win.  Jeff Green scored a team-high 39 points for the Celtics.

Ray Allen went 7/11 from the field to lead the Heat past the Rockets and pass Allen Iverson on the all-time scoring list.

The Rockets had the lead going into the 4th quarter in Miami, but some questionable officiating made it difficult for them to hang on, dropping a game to the Heat on the road.  Ray Allen had another amazing shooting night, going 7/11 for a team-high 25 points off the bench and passing Allen Iverson on the  all-time scoring list, while James Harden posted a game-high 30 points and Dwight Howard posted a 20/10 game.  Ray Allen wasn’t the only player leading his team in scoring off the bench, as Gerald Green posted a game-high 28 points to lead the Suns past the Raptors in Toronto.  Kyle Lowry tied the game-high points, and also posted the game-high for assists with 13.  The Charlotte Bobcats visited Milwaukee and earned a win against the Bucks, bringing the team to within one win of a .500 record.  Kemba Walker posted game-highs in points and assists.  The Clippers were a little shorthanded, but with double-doubles from DeAndre Jordan, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, they were able to handily beat the Cavaliers.  Paul posted an evening high in assists with 15, while Griffin was 2 assists shy of a triple-double.  And finally, after jumping out to a comfortable lead, the Warriors had to fight a comeback from the Trailblazers, winning by the narrowest of margins and being led by Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson who posted a combined 64 points, 37 of which were a game-high from Curry.  Nicolas Batum had a solid all-around game in the loss that featured game highs in rebounds and steals.

Blake Griffin and Chris Paul continue to serve as the best dynamic duo in the league, leading the Clippers past the Cavaliers.

There is no question as to who is the recipient of Line of the Night: Anthony Davis.  He posted evening highs in points, rebounds, and blocks, posting a career high in points.  This marks the third straight game where Davis posted a career high, first matching it with 32, then breaking it with 36 points before going onto set a new career-high with 40 points last night.  Equally impressive as the 40 points are the 21 rebounds that went along with it.  Davis is clearly demonstrating that he was deserving of the All-Star berth awarded him earlier this season.  Honourable mention goes out to Jeff Green and Stephen Curry, who both had stellar scoring outings,Kyle Lowry who had a solid game for the Raptors, and of course to both Chris Paul who led all players in assists, and Blake Griffin who finished with a near triple-double.
