Paul George posted a 30/10 on the road, but it fell short of Kevin Love’s 40/15 game as the Timberwolves defeated the Pacers.  Ricky Rubio posted an evening-high 17 assists.  Carmelo Anthony tied Kevin Love’s evening-high 42 points, leading the Knicks past the Pelicans. Anthony Davis posted an evening-high 5 blocks in the loss. Dwight Howard returned to the Staples Center for the first time since leaving the Lakers and helped the Rockets extend the league’s longest current winning streak to 8 games.  James Harden and Dwight Howard both posted 20/10 games in the win.  Howard’s return was not the only one last night, as Deron Williams returned to his old stomping ground in Utah, but it was Joe Johnson who led the Nets past the Jazz with a game-high 27 points.  The Hawks got 20/10 games out of Elton Brand and Paul

Millsap, but it was not enough to top the Wizards.  John Wall had game highs in assists and points in the win.  The Charlotte Bobcats beat the Detroit Pistons for the second time in two nights behind a stellar 16-assist performance form Kemba Walker.  The Cavaliers managed to extend their winning streak to 6 games at the expense of the Orlando Magic.  Rajon Rondo was flirting with a triple-double, but it was not enough to beat Phoenix as the Celtics fell to the Suns: 100-94.  Damian Lillard scored a game-high 31 points, but the Spurs got a team-high 29 points off the bench from Patrick Mills to help secure a win over the Trailblazers.  The Kings were a little shorthanded after trading Marcus Thornton and the Warriors took full advantage, beating the Kings: 101-92.  David Lee scored a team-high 23 points.  And finally, DeMar DeRozen posted a game-high 32 points, but the Bulls countered with a solid team effort to topple the Raptors.

Kemba Walker’s 16 assists was impressive, even more impressive than Ricky Rubio’s 17 since Walker also managed to post 21 points.  James Harden may have had the best all-around game, but it is Kevin Love the deserve Line of the Night most. Anytime you lead all players in rebounds and points, you are almost guaranteed Line of the Night.  Carmelo Anthony tied Love for the evening-high in points, but he needed more shots than Love, and the rest of his stats were meager at best, while Love manage to dominate on the glass as much as on the boards.  Honourable mention goes out to Paul George, who posted a 30/10 game, Al Jefferson, who continues to post huge numbers for a much-improved Bobcats team, and Patrick Mills who continues to give the Spurs a huge spark off the bench.
