Only four teams in actions last night.  Miami visited the Knick at Madison Square Garden and found themselves on the wrong end of a losing effort as the Knicks surprised the defending champs: 102-92.  LeBron James scored an evening-high 32 points, while Raymond Felton led all play-makers with 14 assists.  Carmelo Anthony scored a team-high 29 points for the Knicks, and Amare Stoudimire was the only player to record a double-double with rebounds last night as he came off the bench to grab a game-high 11 boards.  Out west the Thunder visited the Nuggets in Colorado and were surprised as the Nuggets, after having just lost 8 straight, have now put together 4 straight victories.  Kevin Durant scored a game-high 30 points, but it was not enough to overcome an evening-high 14 rebounds from Kenneth Faried or Ty Lawson’s evening-high 14 assists.

Carmelo may have been out-scored by LBJ, but it was the Knicks that came away with the win.

Not much to pick from, but there were some solid performances.  Anthony did a little better on the boards than James, but James scored more and shot at a higher percentage, despite handing out more turnovers.  Felton and Lawson both had solid passing nights, but neither shot very well, and Durant’s game simply was not as good as LBJ’s or Melo’s.  I’ll give a slight edge to LeBron James for his ability to hit shots and draw fouls.  He outscored Melo by 3 despite taking 7 fewer shots and scored 32 points on 12 made field goals.  Honourable mention goes to Melo and Lawson.
