The Denver Nuggets put together back-to-back wins in the absence of Andre Miller who was serving the final game of a two-game suspension handed down by the Nuggets.  Ty Lawson posted a 20/10 game to lead the Nuggets past the Lakers, while Pau Gasol scored a game-high 25 points.  Kendall Marshall posted an evening-high 17 assists and had only 3 turnovers.  Andrew Bogut, Stephen Curry and David Lee all posted double-doubles as the Warriors topped the Wizards to win their 9th in a row.  The Thunder made short work of the Celtics as they successfully defended their home court.  Chris Bosh faced his former team and was held to single digits on .222 shooting, but the Heat still managed to beat the Raptors: 102-97.  LeBron James scored an evening-high 30 points.  Detroit lost its 4th in a row as they slowly slip further and further away from .500 as the Grizzlies earned a victory in Detroit.  Zach Randolph pulled down an evening-high 16 rebounds.  Brandon Jennings shot .143 from the floor and nobody on Detroit’s roster broke 20 points.  The Knicks got a solid all-around game from Carmelo Anthony as the Knicks beat the Mavericks, and the Pacers maintained the league’s best record with a win over the Cavaliers.

Pau Gasol has been giving the Lakers some All-Star caliber play lately.

Some good performances last night, but none really stand out.  LeBron James led all scorers with a solid percentage, but Durant had a better all-around game.  Randolph led the way with rebounds, and even chipped in 5 assists, but his scoring was a little low.  The Lakers’ break-out sensation Kendall Marshall easily posted the highest assist total, but only scored in single digits.  My pick is Pau Gasol.  Ty Lawson and David Lee were the only other players to posted 20/10 games last night, but Pau had the highest point total among those players, and the highest amount of blocks, while getting as many steals as both Lawson and Lee.  A solid case can be made for Lee though, who had a slightly higher FG% than Gasol.
