Paul Pierce scored a game-high 33 points for the Nets, but the Nets needed one more basket to top the Raptors, losing only their second game of the new year.  Kyle Lowry posted 31 points for the Raptors and led all players last night with 5 steals.  Kevin Love posted a game-high 31 points to help the T-Wolves bet the Bulls and get back to .500.  DeAndfe Jordan posted an evening-high 18 rebounds to help put the Clippers past the Bucks.  Jamal Crawford posted a game-high 25 points off the bench.  Kevin Durant continued his MVP-level play last night, scoring 41 points as he led the Thunder past the Hawks.  Gerald Green scored a game-high 30 points to lead the Suns past the 76ers.  Rookie sensation Michael Carter-Williams posted a 20/10 game for the 76ers.  And finally, the Sacramento Kings, who are still playing without DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay, dropped a game to the Utah Jazz.  The Jazz got double-doubles from Derrick Favors, Marvin Williams and Jeremy Evans.  Derrick Williams and Jason Thompson did likewise for the Kings.

Kevin Durant continued his MVP level of play with a 41-point performance last night.

Line of the Night goes to Kevin Durant… again.  Durant has put together an amazing month so far, perhaps the best I’ve ever seen (though LeBron James had a stretch last season that was equally impressive).  I was tempted to give Line of the Night to Kyle Lowry, who has also been playing some amazing basketball, and was especially impressive on the defensive end, grabbing an evening-high 5 steals, but Durant’s steals+blocks total was equal to Lowry’s, and though Lowry handed out 2 more assists and grabbed 1 more rebounds, Durant’s FG%, ability to get to the line, and point total, gives him a distinct advantage over Lowry.  Kudos to Gerald Green who managed to score 30 points with only 12 attempted FGs.
