The Cavaliers handed the Lakers their fifth straight loss behind a game-high 27 points from the newly acquired Luol Deng.  Anderson Varejao posted an evening-high 18 rebounds, while Lakers point guard Kendall Marshall led all play makers with 16 assists.  The Memphis Grizzlies won their third straight game, spoiling and evening-high 37 points from Kevin Durant.  The Pacers snapped the Kings’ winning streaking, spoiling the only 30/10 performance of the night, offered by Kings’ center DeMarcus Cousins.  Paul George matched Cousins’ game-high 31 points.  And finally the Knicks lost for the first time in the last six games as the Charlotte Bobcats successfully defended their home court.  Al Jefferson posted a game-high 35 points.

Lakers phenom Kendall Marshall is posting Stockton-esque assist numbers.

My pick for Line of the Night goes to DeMarcus Cousins.  Durant scored 6 more points, but he took 7 more shot to do it, and he failed to pull down the boards that he typically does, while Cousins managed 7 more rebounds than Durant.  His defensive stats also give him a slight edge over Durant.  Anderson Varejao gets an honourable mentioned for his big night on the glass, having hauled down an evening-high 18 boards.
