J.R. Smith has reportedly agree to term with the Knicks and will be returning to the team this season.  It was unclear as to whether or not Smith would return to the Knicks as it was possible that other teams would be able to offer Smith more than his current team due to salary-cap restrictions.  But the Knicks put together a 4 year deal worth close to 25 million dollars that satisfied the shooting guard and reigning 6th Man of the Year. After having let Isiah Thomas go several season back, despite keeping him on after sexual harassment charges were laid against him by a female co-worker, and then moving center Eddy Curry who was likewise accused of sexually inappropriate conduct involving his Jewish limousine driver, the Knicks felts it was important to maintain continuity by re-signing the shooting guard who had made sexually inappropriate comments to a minor via Twitter when he asked a female highschool student (who admittedly looked no younger than 20) if she was interested in getting ‘the pipe‘.
